Weybourne is a traditional coastal village with pretty brick and flint cottages set on winding lanes that lead to heathland above and the sea below. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the coastline in the village offers a shingle beach and fabulous cliff top walks. Nearby discover Weybourne Priory, The Muckleburgh Collection Military Museum, local horse riding at Squirrel Wood Equestrian Centre and lovely walks in Sheringham Park, run by the National Trust. Inland the Georgian market town of Holt is a gem with its antique and art galleries, boutique shopping, great food hall, eateries and café culture and don’t miss out on the beautiful historic houses in the area that are Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall to take a step back in time.
Great location in a lovely village with easy access to the coast path. Well equipped and comfortable and spotlessly clean.
Very good property , stayed here twice now and may return
We found the property clean, well equipped and made for a very comfortable stay. It is positioned close to the coastal road, but I needn’t have worried because there was adequate parking for two relatively good sized family cars. The property is spacious, with many attractions close by.
Mrs J Fielding .. 26th June - 3rd July 2021 Had a lovely stay at Lavender Cottage. The cottage was very clean and cosy, and had a nice private patio area to sit and relax in after a long day! The bedrooms were quite spacious, but please be careful of the ceiling where it slopes, its really easy to bang your head especially if your tall. Outside the property there was parking for two cars, which was a real bonus, with some properties you only get one .. great when there's four of you and two cars. The cottage is in a great location, pleanty of walks for the dog, a lovely pub (great food) and corner cafe shop down the road which are both dog friendly, and the beach is a good 10 minute walk down the road, it is a pebble beach, but you can take dogs on it .. Stanley loved it. Overall, we had a great stay at Lavender Cottage, it had everything to make our holiday a good one, we even received a welcome pack on arrival, which was a nice surprise. We will definitely be back at Lavender Cottage again soon. Thank you!
Property was good and well maintained, and in a good area for visiting the surrounding countryside and coats line. There is no dishwasher which I think most peaple would find more helpfull than the washing machine. But we would go there again.
