Wells-next-the-Sea is a lively coastal town on the north Norfolk coast.  With its fine, sandy beach that stretches out before you, featuring iconic beach huts and bordered by pine woodland, it offers a playground for young and old alike, there is even a small gauge railway that will take you down to the beach if you don't fancy the stroll.  At the harbour you can see the small fishing fleet unload its daily catch and the quayside is also popular with children fishing for crabs.  There is an eclectic variety of shops, cafes and tea rooms with not a chain store in sight to browse and peruse and The Buttlands is a lovely part of the town with a tree lined green, fine Georgian houses, pub and restaurant.  Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with the North Norfolk Coastal path running directly through the town you may not wish to wander far but other delights near to hand include Holkham Hall, Burnham Market and its sister villages, Brancaster, Cley-next-the-Sea and Stiffkey to name just a few, which you can access by taking the Coasthopper Bus
