Thursford is a small village with a big reputation being home to one of the world's most important steam and fairground museums, The Thursford Collection, which also hosts a spectacular Christmas show each year. A great area for walking, Thursford Wood contains 500-year-old oak trees and the coastal villages of Cley-next-the-Sea, Wells-next-the-Sea, Blakeney, Morston and Stiffkey set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are only a few miles away; walk on the sandy beaches, bird watch on the marshes and eat at some great restaurants and cafes along the coast. The nearby Georgian town of Holt is a must, as are the historically important villages of Little Walsingham and Binham, with its beautiful Priory ruins. Also don't miss out on the grand houses of the region at Holkham and Houghton - there is much to see in this corner of Norfolk and something for everyone.
Overall an excellent experience. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Decor was restful and pleasant. The view of the fields through the bedroom window was second to none! I would definitely recommend .
