Thursford is a small village with a big reputation, being home to one of the world's most significant steam and fairground museums, The Thursford Collection, which also hosts a spectacular Christmas show each year. A great area for walking, Thursford Wood contains 500-year-old oak trees and the coastal villages of Cley-next-the-Sea, Wells-next-the-Sea, Blakeney, Morston and Stiffkey are only a few miles away; walk on the sandy beaches, bird watch on the marshes, hop on a boat to see the seals and eat at some great restaurants and cafes along the coast. The nearby Georgian town of Holt is a must, as is the historically important village of Little Walsingham with its beautiful Priory ruins. Also, don't miss out on the prestigious Holkham Estate - there is much to see in this corner of Norfolk and something for everyone.

Ruston Lodge is in a quiet location that is ideal for exploring North Norfolk - in easy reach of the coast. Beds and sofas are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. We will definitely be returning and hoping that the weather is as good as we had this time.

Mrs L,

Mrs A,

Straight away on arrival, we were bowled over by Ruston Lodge. Its set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings with lovely views. All the rooms are spacious, comfortable and very well presented. Would definitely stay there again, have already been recommending it to others!
