The village of Thornage is located within the Glaven Valley, one of the most attractive areas of rural North Norfolk. The area is ideal for walking and cycling and just a ten-minute drive from the coastal villages of Blakeney, Cley and Morston. The local Salt Marshes are recognised as one of the UK's premier bird-watching sites. The Georgian town of Holt is just two miles away and offers good quality shops, art galleries and eating places. Holt Country Park provides waymarked walks and nature trails. There are two pubs in the neighbouring villages of Hunworth and Letheringsett, which serve good food.

We have very much enjoyed our stay in Dairy Cottage. Such a lovely part of the world. We particularly liked Holt, Blakeney, and Cley, where we were lucky enough to see a Seal whilst walking along the beach. Thank you for the use of the tennis courts.
