Relax and recharge in this historic cottage, which is perfectly placed for walking and cycling, and close to shops, galleries, places to eat and several beautiful beaches. Cosy and full of original character, including exposed beams and latched doors, it’s a lovely, year-round destination for a solo retreat or romantic getaway for two.

More than 200 years old, this brick-and-flint property has been carefully restored and now blends old and new beautifully. The lounge/diner is particularly welcoming, with a comfortable sofa and open fire, the perfect place to sit and relax after a day of exploring. For your entertainment, there’s a Freesat TV, DVD and CD. The galley kitchen may look traditional but includes an induction hob and a microwave - just right for whipping up both quick suppers and gourmet meals. On this floor, there’s also a small shower room. Take the steep, narrow and twisting, cottage-style stairs to the first floor, where you’ll find a delightful king-size bedroom, with a high, beamed ceiling, an armchair and a dressing table in the window. At the front of the house, a small, sunny area is furnished with a bistro table and chairs for you to enjoy a drink or a snack while admiring the sea view.

Located in the heart of Upper Sheringham, the house is almost on the edge of Sheringham Park, a well-loved National Trust property, and is surrounded by rolling parkland and ancient woodland where you can take gentle walks with stunning coastal views. Neighbouring Sheringham is just a mile away; here you will find beautiful beaches, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. The seaside resort of Cromer is only 5.5 miles, while a similar trip inland will take you to picturesque Holt and its array of independent shops and fabulous places to eat and drink.

A cosy, well eqipped cottage in a tranquil village setting. Despite the village location, it was an easy 25 minute wander to the sea. Lots of walks from the front door and by making use of the Coast Hopper bus, we had days out without using the car.
