Little Snoring is one of two Snoring villages nestled in the heart of north Norfolk just a few miles inland from the coast, much of which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  The village has an entry in the Domesday Book of 1085 and has a Grade 1 listed Norman Church, St Andrews, with a round tower at its heart.  The area lends itself to some lovely walks and for those with bicycles there are hills to negotiate in this charming and undulating landscape.  There are numerous nearby coastal villages all with their own character that should not be missed; seek out the deli, smokehouse and art galleries at Cley-next-the-Sea, take a trip to see the local seal colony from Blakeney or Morston quays and enjoy a lovely lunch or supper at The Anchor in Morston on your return.  Enjoy the fabulous sandy beaches and pinewoods of Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham and take time whilst you are there, to visit Holkham Hall, the seat of the Earls of Leicester with its vast grounds and deer park.  Pick-your-own (in season) at Wiveton Hall and take time out for tea at the café there for delicious home-made cakes and great views of the marshes and sea beyond. Two lovely Georgian towns are also in easy reach, Burnham Market and Holt both worth taking time out to discover the art & antique galleries, boutique shopping, café culture and so much more.
