The village of Langham is a charming north Norfolk village with a pretty church and cottages featuring the local brick and flint architecture. It is a great springboard for exploring this part of Norfolk being just minutes from the coast, marshes and fabulous sandy beaches at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham. From here it is also easy to explore many of the delightful coastal villages such as Blakeney and Cley-next-the-Sea, which has a world renowned birdwatching centre nearby. Much of this part of the coastline is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and other pleasures to be enjoyed here are sailing, visiting historic houses and crabbing on the quayside - which will keep all members of the family happily entertained for hours! Walking the quiet lanes, nearby heaths and parks such as Kelling Heath and the National Trust's Sheringham Park, which affords great views down to the coast are also worth seeking out. There is a handy village pub, The Blue Bell, serving good food and take away fish and chips and there other excellent restaurants and gastro-pubs plus cafes and delicatessens nearby, giving ample opportunities to sample the local gastronomic delights that Norfolk is justifiably famous for. Venture inland to discover the wonderful Georgian town of Holt, a landmark for the area, with its antique shops, independent fashion boutiques, art galleries, cafes and tea rooms and whilst here take a journey on the local steam railway for a coastal journey to Sheringham. With so much to see and do, many happy memories will be made and a return visit will be a certainty.

Reviews

Very comfortable, extremely well kept. Lovely setting with very secure garden for our dog Max.

Mrs W,

Had a lovely week away in this fabulous cottage. Great location - secluded but within walking distance to village pub; close to the big open beaches of north Norfolk. Property was spotless. Some lovely goodies provided as a welcome pack - we sat in the garden with a cup of tea and scones, jam and clotted cream before we unpacked. A super idea and very welcome after our journey. The super king bed ensured we had a good night rest after busy days walking the dog. Looking forward to visiting again - thank you for a great week.

Mrs G,

Hollybush is as good as all the reviews. Secluded, beautiful and immaculatey clean - the bed was incredibly comfortable. Fantastic base to explore North Norfolk. We haven't been to Norfolk before for a dog's holiday but it was incredible exploring new places every day. We were worried about where we could take the dogs in June and I found the earlier reviews very helpful so I'd like to add to that with dog friendly places we visited: Thornham beach - apparently the most remote beach in Norfolk. Its a lovely 25 min walk from the Lifeboat Inn pub and worth a visit. Holkham so good we went twice - they are extremely strict on dogs off lead but they are allowed by the waters edge. Honestly this didn't deter from the enjoyment of going there, just worth checking the tide times and if you can go when the tide is on its way out you can venture to the sand banks safely. Brancaster beach and Sherrington beaches were also lovely and very different - both have plenty of zones for dogs. Again check the tide times to get the most out of it! Non beach walks included Holt country Park which the dogs loved and could be off lead the whole time and then Sherrington Park - the 5k trail is a great walk but dogs are on lead the whole time. We will definitely be back to Hollybush and Norfolk it has so much to offer! Thank you.

Mrs D,

Cracking house super size beds very comfy and plenty of room.
