Retreat to this beautifully presented brick and flint cottage that’s 500 metres from the centre of Holt, a Georgian market town on the edge of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The dog-friendly cottage features an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, versatile en-suite bedrooms across two floors and a handy mezzanine level. It is a convenient base for families or groups of friends seeking a relaxing holiday in the countryside, with easy access to coastal attractions including Blakeney Point, Holkham Hall and Wells-next-the-Sea.

The two-storey cottage is thought to date back to the 19th century when it was part of the meeting hall patronised by The Society of Oddfellows. Its interior is fresh and modern, with natural light flooding through large windows onto stylish soft furnishings. There are two spacious en-suite super-king-size bedrooms on the ground floor, both of which can be converted to twin bedrooms on request. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner on the first floor offers a comfortable place to unwind, eat and make merry, with the convenience of a utility room and a family bathroom to the side. A third bedroom, a cosy en-suite twin, is on the mezzanine level across from a comfortable seating area. The cottage’s proximity to the centre of Holt more than makes up for the lack of any outside space.

Holt’s town centre (500 metres) is brimming with vibrant art galleries, shops and dog-friendly pubs. Holt Country Park (1 mile) is ideal for dog walks, while Weybourne and Sheringham are just two stops on the town’s North Norfolk Steam Railway (0.5 miles). Blakeney Point, Holkham Beach and Wells-next-the-Sea (within 13 miles) are amongst the most popular stretches of shoreline on the Norfolk Coast AONB.

A lovely cottage in a great location - right in the heart of fabulous Holt. Very clean and great amenities too. The parking outside the cottage is really only big enough for a Fiat 500 or smart car but there is another parking space a minute away. We felt the description was a bit misleading saying you could park a small car there. Otherwise a greaRead moret place to stay. Hide
