If you visit near Christmas, the town shopfronts are decorated with Christmas lights and there is some excellent festive shopping to be had. Great location, so easy to walk round the corner into main street of Holt. Lovely neighbours side & behind.
Lovely cottage on a quiet street in walking distance of all amenities. Cottage beautifully furnished and well equipped. The owner was very helpful with information on where to eat out and visit, as well as leaving us wine, juice, milk and bread in the fridge for our arrival, which was a lovely surprise.
A stylish well equipped immaculate cosy cottage in the middle of the pretty Georgian town of Holt. The owner very informative of the local area and is at hand if needed.
Hero Cottage is a delightful place to stay, it was very clean and well stocked when we arrived. The bed are very comfortable and I will definitely come back and stay again. Its a beautiful area with lots of beaches that are dog friendly and the town is very interesting. Thank you to the owner Nigel who is very helpful with any questions or help you may need. Parking is not an issue near the cottage. Enjoy! Angela
Lovely cottage in great location, just off centre of Holt and within easy drive to Norfolk coast. Cottage was very well equipped and beds were super comfortable. Parking was a challenge
well equipped very comfortable, Hero Cottage was a perfect holiday cottage easy access to the beaches and countryside and bamg in the centre of Holt with all its shops.
A really beautiful and well appointed cottage. was a larger than expected with good size rooms. Lovely courtyard and garden too cold to go out there during our stay but would be lovely in the summer! Owner was very helpful with advice on where to go and things to do. Shops are just a few minutes walk away as is alternative parking if needed.
Beautiful cottage, comfy bed, hot showers, warm and cosy, what more do want. walking distance to centre of Holt. The owner provided information and reassurance he was on hand if you required. We had a lovely stay..Thank you
Beautiful and well equipped cottage that is conveniently located for the amenities in Holt and the Norfolk coast. Very peaceful and comfortable - a real home from home. the owner is so helpful and welcome pack (tea, milk, spread, bread and OJ) was much appreciated. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay here again. Regarding the parking, our mini clubman just fit in the parking space by parking diagonally, there the space is only fit a small car.
Lovely cottage and very helpful owner. Holt is a nice village and its only 10-15 minutes from gorgeous beaches.
Hero Cottage is a very attractive and comfortable property in an equally attractive part of the world. It is well equipped and within a minutes walk of Holt with its shops, cafes and Sunday market. There are wonderful places to eat within a 15 minutes drive (do book in advance). The owner recommended lots of excellent pubs and restaurants and places to visit - always attentive and helpful. North Norfolk is enchanting especially in the sunshine and Hero Cottage is a perfect base from to explore its beauty. Just have a smallish car
Excellent stay at Hero Cottage. Communication with owner first rate and he couldn't do enough for us. Cottage was charming, comfortable, and very well kitted out. The location couldn't have been better being a stone's throw away from the town but also quiet. Might need to mention to future guests that access is easier with a small/medium car however!
Hero cottage was indeed very cosy to stay. All the amenities were there. Beds were very comfortable
Really lovely cottage in a delightful setting.
Good central location, lovely wood stove in lounge and dining room, quality soft furnishings and bed linen. Well equipped kitchen. Safe enclosed back yard for dogs.
Wonderful time at Hero Cottage. Beautifully furnished and clean superb location in Holt and nearby beaches. Thoroughly recommend.
Holiday was very good, great location walk into town and close to beaches
Lovely cottage with little courtyard garden right in the centre of Holt so great access to North Norfolk coast. Homely cottage with lots of nice decorative items. Owners was very helpful and accommodating. We had a really nice stay here and would come again.
Lovely cottage just outside the centre of town. The cottage was extremely well equipped (infact, it could do with some things being removed) and has a lovely outside courtyard garden which is bathed in sun during the morning. The parking space is small; dont bring a 4x4! The was extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were both spotlessly clean and well equipped. Only thing lacking was any information at all in the cottage; I am used to a list of local amenities (doctors, hospitals, supermarkets etc) as wells as local maps, historical booklets and leaflets of interesting places to visit. It wouldn't take long to compile and would make the holiday even more enjoyable
Had a lovely time, weather was perfect, cottage and location was great and with parking to which is a big bonus. The welcome pack was really good too. Lots of places to walk from the doorstep. Towards end of my stay realised taking Cley Rd was quickest route to the coast. Holt garden centre is lovely to walk around and to eat. Hetty's in the country park serves lovely tea and cake too.
We had a lovely 5 nights at Hero Cottage, Nigel the owner was very friendly and helpful and checked everything was Ok for us. The location is excellent with great shopping and many fish and chip shops very close. Handy for nipping out for a coffee whilst our 3 teens were still in bed! The furnishing were of good quality especially the bedding which was lovely and comfortable. Only slightly negative was the parking if you have a large car but we managed ok! would definitely recommend and return. We loved wells and Brancaster beeches too.
A beautiful presented cottage in a fantastic location in the centre of Holt - would highly recommend!
Hero Cottage is very well presented with everything that you need supplied. We received a very warm welcome from owner Nigel as well as a welcome pack containing bread, margarine, milk, orange juice, mince pies and a bottle of wine and flowers. The kitchen was very well stocked with tea, coffee and all essential's, nothing was missed. The same applied to the 2 bathrooms where toiletries were also provided. The cottage was spotlessly clean and we loved the quality and style of the furnishing and the lovely homely touches.

Great communication with Nigel throughout our stay with tips for dog friendly places to visit. We loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again
Fantastic property in Holt to stay at, great location, very easy in the village. Decor was lovely and everything was very clean and well organised. All the equipment and utensils you could need and the owner also supplied the essentials like tea, milk, butter, bread and even a bottle of champagne for us as it was a special occasion for us. Great correspondence by the owner, before and during the stay, very useful and gave tips on the area. We had our baby with us and there was a good stair gate and high chair. Easy with a dog and the small enclosed courtyard garden. Would highly recommend staying here. Holt is a lovely village and in a great location to visit all of north Norfolk.
