Holt is a popular market town with Georgian charm and character, art and antique galleries, fashion boutiques, food shops offering the best of local produce, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The Green Flag awarded Holt Country Park has over 100 acres of woodland to discover. On the outskirts of Holt is Holt Railway Station where you can pick up the Poppy Line and enjoy a train ride to Weybourne and Sheringham on a diesel or steam train – great fun for children and adults alike! Just a short drive to the stunning North Norfolk coast, where you can discover bird watching, nature reserves, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, sailing, seal watching and vast sandy beaches. The coastal villages of Blakeney and Cley are just five miles away with the sandy beach at Sheringham just six miles to the East. Cley is home to Norfolk Wildlife Trust visitor centre, Cley Marshes Centre where you can sit in the café and enjoy panoramic views across the marshes or birdwatch from one of the hides.
Fantastic cottage located very close to all the amenities of Holt. The cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and was clean and welcoming. We spent a lovely week here and were sad to leave. We will be back!
The property was perfect. Everything done to a high standard and very clean. The one tiny draw back was that the bed was a double, and when you’re used to a king, so this felt very small. But it’s not a reason to not stay there, I would still rebook.
