Property code: OC-1413

Treat yourself to a relaxing getaway in a charming and traditional brick-and-flint cottage from the 1800s. Spend quality time with your small family or the other half in front of the wood burner in the bright and cosy lounge or dine alfresco in the sheltered garden. Discover the delights of Holt and explore the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Step through the vestibule to find yourself in the lounge with a warming wood burner beneath a characterful exposed stone wall, two comfortable sofas and a Smart TV. Continue into the kitchen/diner with a wooden beamed ceiling to find a wooden slatted kitchen peninsula, more exposed brickwork plus a dining table with chairs. Up the steep cottage-style stairs is a family shower room plus two bedrooms – a double and a twin room. Outside is a fully enclosed courtyard with a patio and garden furniture.

During your stay on the outskirts of the Georgian town of Holt, you’ll be surrounded by family-run restaurants, independent shops and a handful of tearooms. Nearby is the 100-acre Holt Country Park (1 mile) where you can take Fido for a run around the woodland. Head into the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to find the wildlife-rich Salthouse Marshes Nature Reserve (4 miles) and the dog-friendly Salthouse Beach (4.5 miles). Step back in time at the Muckleburgh Military Collection Museum (5 miles) or go on an adventure by boat to spot seals in Blakeney (5.5 miles). Another enjoyable stay in Almond Tree house. This is our 6th time here but first since pre-pandemic! Too long! Cottage and Holt well equipped and amazing as ever. Holt very much thriving with all cafe's restaurants and takeaway thriving. We arrived during the heatwave and the cottage was still very comfortable. Whilst here we celebrated ScottRead more's 40th with various surprises including a private broads charter! North Norfolk fish and chip special on the railway! Surprise meal at Blyfords with cake made etc! Also our puppies first holiday too! Loved it! Thanks again and can't wait to come back very soon. Hide

We had a fabulous week at Almond Tree Cottage. It was the perfect location - on the doorstep of all the lovely cafes and shops that Holt has to offer yet very peaceful at night. The cottage was ideal for our two dogs and we all loved the outdoor area and made use of the garden furniture to enjoy the sunshine.

We've had a wonderful week at Almond Tree Cottage with our 2 dogs, Wilf and Oliver. They've been very calm and settled here and we've loved exploring the surrounding countryside as well as local shops and (many) cafes! Thank you.

We've had a lovely time in Norfolk and the cottage was a great base. It was lovely having the blankets to cover the sofas and dogs being positively welcomed rather than tolerated. We will definitely be back in the next year or so and would love to stay again. Thank you!
