Almond Tree Cottage is a charming, traditional brick and flint cottage which was originally a sailmakers cottage and dates back to the 1800s. Full of character, charm and presented with peacefulness and warmth, the cottage is comfortable and makes a memorable place to stay at any time of the year. Cosy sofas await you in front of the woodburner – perfect for warming toes for you and your four-legged friend on cooler days. The property has a private fully enclosed garden and is great for evening meals in the summer with the family. The cottage is only moments away from a great food hall, local independent grocers, fishmongers, butchers and boutiques. The lovely Georgian town of Holt has a charm and character all of its own and boasts a selection of interesting shops, including many antique shops, as well as good restaurants, pubs and tea rooms. On the edge of the town the Green Flag awarded Holt Country Park, has over 100 acres of woodland to discover with many organised events and there is also excellent bird watching in the area. The coastal villages of Blakeney and Cley are just four miles away with the sandy beach at Sheringham a further two miles.
We had a fabulous week at Almond Tree Cottage. It was the perfect location - on the doorstep of all the lovely cafes and shops that Holt has to offer yet very peaceful at night. The cottage was ideal for our two dogs and we all loved the outdoor area and made use of the garden furniture to enjoy the sunshine.
A lovely well-equipped cottage. Pleasant surroundings with lovely beaches and places to visit. We would recommend this cottage to friends and family. Also the weather was kind to us. Thank you very much, Paula & Paul
Thanks for a fabulous place to stay in Almond Tree Cottage, we've had a lovely sunny week spent on the beaches, crabbing at Wells and exploring the little towns! Our 4 year old is definite that we need to come back for another holiday here : ) The Fawkes family xxx
We have really enjoyed our stay in your lovely cottage - its very warm & cosy and has a welcoming feel to it. We have been to the North Norfolk Coast many times before but have never been to Holt before. Despite being rather chilly, with a little bit of rain, we've enjoyed trips to a number of beaches - Salthouse, Holkham (my favourite), East Runton (to eat fish and chips) and Wells. The kids loved it, as always. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends. Many thanks,
A lovely atmospheric, well equipped and very comfortable cottage in the delightful historic town of Holt. Great base for exploring North Norfolk and its stunning coastline, countryside and villages. Would thoroughly recommend. Although plenty of good eating establishments nearby, it’s also quite unique in that it’s a self catering let that is genuinely equipped for and seems to encourage self catering for a family (there was even a knife sharpener, which we’ve never experienced elsewhere before!).
