Entering this picturesque cottage, the welcoming porch leads through to a delightful lounge. With a roaring wood burner and comfortable seating, this is a lovely space for everyone to curl up in the evenings and watch a movie on the Smart TV. The ground floor also has an airy dining room, and a light, fully equipped kitchen. Heading upstairs, there’s a refreshing family bathroom and two chic, cosy bedrooms: a sweet twin and a beautifully decorated super-king-size room with a Smart TV. Stepping outside, the generous garden looks out over the surrounding hills and woodlands, and has a large enclosed lawn with plenty of space for pets and children to play, as well as a covered well and a patio perfect for enjoying a spot of al fresco dining.

The property lies along a farm track surrounded by the fields of the Holkham Estate. The elegant Palladian-style Holkham Hall lies at the heart of the estate, surrounded by 25,000 acres of parkland and woodland, perfect for walkers, nature lovers and cyclists to explore. Heading to the coast, Holkham Beach and the charming coastal village of Wells next the Sea are less than 5 miles away. Also nearby are Binham Priory, Hindringham Hall Gardens and the ruins of Creake Abbey, all within 11 miles.

Well located for seeing the coastal nature reserves and beaches and also inland sights such as Binham Priory and Little Walsingham. Thornham, Hunstanton Cliffs and the Burnhams are also worth visiting. etc. Very well appointed and beautifully renovated; the air-source heat pump works very well (we found it almost too warm at night!).

FANTASTIC.....what a fabulous cottage with everything you might need for a great self catering holiday. The furnishing are nearly new, tastefully chosen and extremely comfortable. You are in the middle of nowhere, with absolutely no neighbours but you are surrounded by fantastic countryside and 5-10 mins in the car and you are in Wells or Holkham.Read more The cottage has absolutely everything you need, the kitchen is very well equipped and its extremely warm and cosy. Lovely property, a little way off the main Holkham site but secluded with a lovely garden front and back of the property. It was clean and warm, we actually had to turn the heating down as too warm for us especially as we do love a log burner (as does the dog). Idyllic setting and cottage. Holkham offers everything. Wells as a town is lovely. The walks and wildlife are amazing. Loved our stay and cannot wait to return. The car parking pass and gift bag is a lovely gesture and secured us staying in Holkham and Wells the whole week.

We loved our trip as a family of four (2 boys under age 9) to Cuckoo Lodge. Location was remote and peaceful but well placed to get around exploring North Norfolk. The cottage was so beautiful. Set in a lovely peaceful location only a short walk into Wells. It was well equipped for our week long stay and was well situated for exploring from. We are already looking forward to planning our next trip.

Over all we enjoyed our stay. The cottage is beautiful. The track leading to the cottage did have several deep pot holes in that we had to try and avoid else it would have damaged the cars. The garden was advertised as secure, for larger dogs that may be the case, our Labrador was fine however our chihuahua could get out under the gate and one sideRead more of the garden had no fence or wire. This was a bit disappointing as the secure garden was one of the main reasons we booked here. The main bedroom is amazing, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. A good night sleep was what was needed after a day at wells beach. A shower attachment would be amazing as well as the waterfall shower it was hard to shower without soaking your hair at the same time. Walks down the tracks in the evening was lovely especially when we caught glimpses of the sunset. A lovely stay at the cottage and would definitely return and recommend. Hide

There was no heating instructions. There was also a lot of spiders/dead flies hanging from the ceilings. Behind the main bedroom bed hadnt been cleaned for months. Also for the rates charged I dont see why we should have to take the sheets off all before 10am check out. Its a lots to do before 10am.

The property was delightful and very cosy as well as clean. A few more glasses, a larger pot and items such as a garlic crusher and a blender will be useful. We like to cook and with children, a well designed kitchen in a self-catering cottage is a must. Other than this, we missed a charging point for toothbrushes and a razor in the bathroom. ThereRead more was a code for a gate to Holkham Hall, but we never figured out where to use this and the Hall staff couldn't help with this either, so this needs clarification in your booklet. Perfect cottage in the most amazing location. Close to Holkham and Brancaster Beaches and lots of wonderful North Norfolk villages. Would not recommend to anybody with inquisitive dogs as the boundary is not secure due to no fences.

A fantastic lodge in a great location and very well equipped. The only issue we had was the back door handle didnt work which resulted in us getting locked out. We called and the property manager arrived within 20 minutes to help us back in. The main sofa was not the most comfortable but overall the lodge was fantastic and we would return.

Lovely furnished property and the welcome pack on arrival was very much appreciated. The cost was more than we budget for, so this was a treat, but we very much hope that we can stay again some time in the future.
