The moment you walk in you know you are home. The Meeting House is a pretty, detached, 18th Century Norfolk cottage, traditionally built from brick and flint with a welcoming atmosphere that will draw you in. Enjoy the artwork, cosy around the impressive wood burner, light the open fire in one of the bedrooms, soak in a fabulous copper bath in another – the owners have thought of all the right touches for you to enjoy your stay. Dogs are welcome here too and the pretty gardens are enclosed, private and a suntrap in warmer weather. Field Dalling is a quiet village within easy driving distance of the stunning north Norfolk coastal villages, beaches and marshes in one direction and the elegant Georgian town of Holt in the other; take a day to discover its antique and art galleries, café culture and so much more. There is a good farm shop and café at nearby Back To The Garden, showcasing the best of Norfolk produce and good pubs in all directions. This is a great area to explore at any time of the year and a stay in this beautiful cottage should not be missed. Shops: 3 miles Pub: 2 miles

Field Dalling is well placed for exploring the splendid coastline and the pretty country villages that abound in this beautiful part of Norfolk. There is excellent walking and cycling along quiet lanes with many footpaths to explore. The sea and coastal marshes are only three miles away and two magnificent sandy beaches backed with pine woods with plenty of walks and cycle trails can be found at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham; easily accessible in a short drive. The town of Holt offers boutique shopping, a great food store and plenty of pubs, coffee shops and restaurants to discover. Whilst here do not miss out on a gorgeous steam railway journey along the coast to Sheringham. National Trust houses at Felbrigg and Blickling and glorious parkland at Sheringham should also be on your ‘to do’ list.
Here is a recent article feauturing 'The Meeting House' which may be of interest.
We loved the cottage and decided we wanted to return even whilst we were staying there. It felt very relaxed- a home from home.
The Meeting House is utterly charming with such attention to detail. It has a delightful log burner which you’ll need if visiting in the winter months and fantastic electric range cooker. The living space is well thought out and whilst cosy the area feels light and spacious. The bedrooms aren’t massive but they ooze character and the bedding is hypoallergenic and plush. We didn’t use the copper bath, but it looked stunning. We didn’t get to experience the garden at its best visiting over New Year but it’s of good size. All in all a lovely visit.
Exceptional property with lovely decor and a very high standard of fittings and facilities. Excellent location for easy coastal access and for the town of Holt
