Description

The Orchard is a modern single storey property attached to the owner's home overlooking Top Common in the attractive coastal village of East Runton. You can watch the ducks and geese that live on the village pond from the sitting room and there is an attractive garden.  To the rear of the property there is a summerhouse to relax in together with a table and chairs for eating al fresco. The location is quiet and peaceful but all the facilities of the village and the beautiful beach are close by. Shops/Pubs: 0.5 mile

Unfortunately children under 12 years are not accepted at this property due to pond. Mobile signal - strong. This property has been graded four star gold under The Original Cottages Family Grading Scheme and has also received a separate five star gold for cleanliness.

East Runton lies on the A149 coast road between the resorts of Sheringham and Cromer. A steepish lane leads down to the beach where at low tide there is a wide expanse of flat sand perfect for sandcastles or ball games. The beach is backed by high cliffs and there are paths into Cromer or the neighbouring village of West Runton. Away from the coast is a cluster of traditional brick and flint cottages, and an attractive green and duck pond. The village is well placed for exploring the area but if you wish to remain closer to home there are several small shops, two pubs and a restaurant serving meals.

Reviews

The Orchard is a very clean and homely feeling bungalow. There's plenty of space, a nice seating area outside with some shade, and the beds are really comfortable. The location is great for walking to Cromer, around 20 to 30 minutes away and Sheringham, around an hour and a half's walk away.
