A comfortable bungalow nestled into a residential area of similar properties, in the lovely village of Dersingham and close to the Sandringham Royal Estate. Easily accessible, the space inside Skippers Retreat creates a relaxing holiday home for couples or families, and two dogs are welcome too. The sitting room has a Smart TV, Alexa speaker and features a cosy wood burner for keeping warm on cooler days.  The garden is a lovely suntrap and a tranquil spot to sit with a good book and a drink when the sun is out. A well-equipped kitchen, two double bedrooms and a bathroom complete the picture. The village is in a great location for discovering the best of west Norfolk.  It has good local shopping facilities, two pubs and is only a 10-minute drive to the beach.  Shops/Pubs: 1 mile

Dersingham is a friendly village, on the edge of the Sandringham Royal Estate and is surrounded by beautiful countryside and woodland walks. The village has a variety of shops including a supermarket, award-winning butcher and garden centre. There are places to dine and drink too, at The Feathers and The Coach and Horses. For those with a sweet tooth you will enjoy a visit to the fabulous tea rooms ‘Petals’, serving a variety of refreshments and delicious cakes. Pop into Sandringham Visitors Centre for refreshments or a hearty lunch with full restaurant facilities and hot food served daily, followed by a stroll around the house and gardens. There is a good choice of local beaches, the nearest at Snettisham is only two miles away and the coastal village of Heacham a 10-minute drive.  Heacham has two beaches, North and South beach and a promenade leading to the Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton, which is perfect for an evening stroll to watch the beautiful sunsets. Don’t miss a visit to Norfolk Lavander where you’ll find nearly 100 acres of lavender, animal gardens and playpark, farm shop and tearoom. The area offers good walking and cycling opportunities and if ornithology is your passion, then Dersingham boasts its own National Nature Reserve, while the neighbouring villages of Snettisham and Titchwell’s RSPB Reserves are a short distance away.

Lovely place to stay. Close to lots of lovely walls. Garden could be a bit more secure for dogs. Perhaps a gate at the rear to keep the dogs getting to the front as it is a low wall which they can jump and escape.

Perfect location for easy access to coast and walking distance of Sandringham Estate. Property was welll poresented, clean, comfortable, and dog friendly. Would recommend and visit again.

Pleasant enough bungalow for what we wanted. A nice quiet place. But the garden not secure and any dog would be able to get out.
