Dersingham is a friendly village, on the edge of the Sandringham Royal Estate and is surrounded by beautiful countryside and woodland walks. The village has a variety of shops including a supermarket, award-winning butcher and garden centre. There are places to dine and drink too, at The Feathers and The Coach and Horses. For those with a sweet tooth you will enjoy a visit to the fabulous tea rooms ‘Petals’, serving a variety of refreshments and delicious cakes. Pop into Sandringham Visitors Centre for refreshments or a hearty lunch with full restaurant facilities and hot food served daily, followed by a stroll around the house and gardens. There is a good choice of local beaches, the nearest at Snettisham is only two miles away and the coastal village of Heacham a 10-minute drive. Heacham has two beaches, North and South beach and a promenade leading to the Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton, which is perfect for an evening stroll to watch the beautiful sunsets. Don’t miss a visit to Norfolk Lavander where you’ll find nearly 100 acres of lavender, animal gardens and playpark, farm shop and tearoom. The area offers good walking and cycling opportunities and if ornithology is your passion, then Dersingham boasts its own National Nature Reserve, while the neighbouring villages of Snettisham and Titchwell’s RSPB Reserves are a short distance away.
