Self-catering holiday cottages in Burnham Market

Also known as ‘Little Chelsea’, Burnham Market is the perfect boutique retreat on the North Norfolk coast. We have a range of delightful holiday cottages in Burnham Market, ranging from intimate smaller properties sleeping two guests, to larger cottages with enough room for a big group. If you’re looking for a dog-friendly cottage, or want to splash out on a luxury home, then you’ll also find these within our Burnham Market collection.

Visiting Burnham Market

In this charming picture-perfect North Norfolk Georgian village, elegant houses and flint cottages are all clustered around a delightful village green. With a selection of galleries, boutiques, a posh hat shop, and excellent restaurants and pubs, it is understandable why the village attracts so many visitors each year, including many famous faces.

There are seven Burnham’s in total, with Burnham Market being the most prosperous, while lovely Burnham Thorpe, which is further inland, was Nelson’s birthplace.

There are many sailing opportunities in the area at Brancaster, Blakeney and Burnham Overy Staithe, all beautiful places to stay boasting plenty of accommodation options. Step out on delightful walks around the coast; we would recommend the short walk out to the beach from Burnham Overy Staithe. On this route, you'll head along the sea wall that starts at the end of the road by the harbour, to the dunes, then head left past a point known as Gun Hill, keep going past Gun Hill and you’ll end up on the same beach that extends round to Holkham Gap.

You will find Holkham just 3 miles away from Burnham Market – a fantastic family day out with an award-winning sandy beach, and Holkham Estate with its woodland deer park, children’s adventure play area and impressive hall to explore. Find your ideal Burnham Market holiday home from our handpicked collection of holiday homes and start planning your next self-catering Norfolk getaway.
