Burnham Market is an excellent village with a variety of shops and amenities centred around the picturesque village green. The village has a very good butcher, excellent fishmonger and greengrocer, great independent bookstore, as well as several delis and even a wonderful hat shop. Spend an afternoon browsing the cobbled courtyards and perhaps have an afternoon tea in one of the many tea rooms. Art connoisseurs will enjoy browsing the galleries with contemporary paintings and sculptures at specialist galleries including the Fairfax Gallery. ‘Foodies’ will enjoy discovering ‘flavours’ of Italy after a visit to the Tuscan Farm shop with a selection of cheeses, prosciutto and other artisan specialities from around our area as well as local produce from Humble Pie deli. For special occasions, why not enjoy a special dinner and treat yourself to supper at the Hoste Arms Hotel with bar, restaurant and spa facilities too, preceded by cocktails at No.29, perfect for celebrations with family and friends.
Very high standard property, really comfortable and spacious. Lovely living area, all bedrooms and bathrooms very luxurious, high spec kitchen and big utility room. Lots of seating and dining areas inside and out and a nice large garden. Good base for exploring the North Norfolk coast.
When we arrived at Malabar on the 14th we immediately felt at home - the house was so beautiful. It was so nice to be by the coast. The garden and bedroom outside also complete the beautiful house. The Indian four poster and double bed are also wonderful. Izzy (aged 11): Our stay in Malabar was fantastic! The house was beautiful and we felt right at home here. The rooms are stunning and the outside feels very welcoming. The week has flown by and we have eaten lovely food, gone on lovely walks and even had a go in the arcade!
