Briston is a large village located within North Norfolk just four miles inland from the Georgian town of Holt. There is a pub, two shops, a bakery and a butchers. It’s a great location from which to explore all North Norfolk has to offer. Holt has a lovely range of local shops, a small independent supermarket together with plenty of tea rooms or restaurants offering locally sourced produce. Catch a steam or diesel train along the Poppyline, a coastal track which visits Weybourne and Sheringham. Many of the most wonderful beaches are within a short drive of Roe Deer Barn, go to Wells-next the-Sea and walk along the Quay or visit the vast sandy beach. The popular seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer make for a great day out for all the family, each having a golf course too! Salthouse and Cley-next-the-Sea are great bird watching locations, you will be spoilt for choice with so many places to discover.
The attention to detail was faultless. We had a completely wonderful time.
The property was beautiful, location was extremely peaceful and having the pond, ducks and other wildlife to watch helped make our faqmily stay an excellent experience. The owners were very helpful and friendly; the extra little touches of a victoria sponge, jar of jam and bits and pieces were very welcome. Would have no problem coming back at all and would recommend very highly.
We stayed in Roe Deer Barn as a group of 8. The barn is very fit for purpose and served our needs perfectly. It was excellent value for money and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. The games room is a nice touch and was a big factor in us choosing this particular venue.
Roe Deer Barn was perfect for our family, including 91 year old with mobility problems. We felt welcomed by the owners, lovely cake on arrival! The pond is a real feature, ducks, moorhen with chicks, swallows dipping and diving and the heron which made regular visits, giving something to watch safely as is behind glass panels on patio and so not accessible. Although this property is semidetached with its sister house Muntjac Barn, we were scarcely aware of other occupants and still felt private. The two would make a splendid pair to rent together for larger groups.
The property exceeded our expectations. Everything was of top quality. Loved everything about it. We chose the wettest week we could possibly have in June.. but Roe Deer exceeded our expectations in all areas. The living area gave us room to spread out and the window that overlooked the pond was a great favourite with us all. We will miss the ducks and the moorhens. We will never know if the five chicks survived! We have had a great week with fun in the games room too. Thank you for your beautiful barn conversion - we hope to be back.
We had such an amazing stay at Roe Deer Barn. What a stunning property in a beautiful location. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this beautiful property. We can’t wait to come back.
What a wonderful house. Blessed with glorious weather. Some great days out at Cromer, Sheringham and Roarr. The wet day couldn't dampen our spirits at Wroxham and Salhouse Broad. Wonderfully equipped house that catered for all 3 generations.
Absolutely perfect. Really enjoyed our Easter break at the gorgeous Roe Deer Barn. Very comfortable and fully equipped!
Amazing house, so well equipped and comfortable. Great family days out at Cromer, Bewilderwood, Wells, Wroxham Barns and Sheringham Park.
A lovely extended weekend to celebrate two family birthdays. Lovely open plan space for all to be together.
Excellent place for a family get-together for New Year. Loved the tree and the decorations.
'Wow' Christmas at Roe Deer Barn was certainly beautifull and thoroughly enjoyable. We had everything we needed - an amazing Christmas tree, we all loved the games room and felt very welcomed.
An excellent property in a quiet but convenient location in the heart of North Norfolk. Exceptionally well fitted, equipped and furnished; very comfortable and with a high level of privacy. The shared outdoor play area, and indoor games room, are a welcome addition, and the 'welcome pack', including fresh bread, butter, milk, tea/coffee, and best of all a home made cake, was a really nice touch. Thoroughly recommendable!
We had a great time in the barn. Relaxing break. Kids had fun in the field and games room. We will recommend this barn to friends and family. Loved the interior decorations.
Have had a fantastic time in a well-appointed barn. Ideal for the family get together from all parts of the UK (and US). Four generations. Will come back and we've already recommended this to some friends. The Explorer Bar was a good place for a family meal on our last night.
The barn certainly has the 'wow' factor. The welcome pack was indeed welcome - Thank you! The comfort level exceeds all other properties we've stayed in and the facilities are excellent. We loved your games room - recommend Sunday lunch at The Hunny Bell in Hunworth. Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall will certainly recommend your barn. Thank you.
Had a lovely stay with our 15 month olds. Hope to come back again soon!
We enjoyed our stay at Roe Deer Barn. The cottage was well equipped and the hosts are very friendly. We had 4 generations enjoying and relaxing together - we would definitely be visiting again. The cake in the welcome pack was a really nice touch - delicious. Beautiful grounds and the little ones enjoyed the playground and the ducks in the pond (ps I think one of the ducks did a runner as there is only one now!!). We had a lovely time with all the facilities for four generations.
We have had such a lovely and relaxing time in Roe Deer Barn. There was literally everything we could have wanted. The view over the lake is incredibly relaxing, especially watching the kingfisher. Thank you for everything - we look forward to coming back soon.
Roe Deer Barn certainly has the 'wow' factor. We all have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday home. Very thoughtfully planned. Thank you. You have made the childrens holiday very special with your games room 'den'. Beautiful views and their 4 friendly duck friends (haven't been kidnapped and taken home with them!!). We will be visiting this beautiful location again.
We have absolutely loved our holiday together here. What a beautiful location. The children made full use of the games room and the park whilst the grown ups have enjoyed the view. Thank you so much xx
What an amazing place you have here! We have loved our week and can't wait to return. Thank you so much x
Thank you for a lovely week! The barn is great and everything has been very thoughtfully catered for. We loved the play area and the play barn. Thanks again.
