Enjoy village life, Briston is a thriving village which still retains a few local shops including a post office, local butcher, deli, bakery and also two local pubs. It’s a great location in which to explore all North Norfolk has to offer. Holt is less than 5 miles away and is a wonderful market town with many boutique shops, café’s and restaurants to peruse. Catch a steam or diesel train along the Poppyline, a coastal track which visits Weybourne and Sheringham. Many of the most wonderful beaches are within a short drive of The Poppies, go to Wells-next the-Sea walk along the Quay or visit the vast sandy beach. The popular seaside town of Sheringham is a great day out and also has a swimming pool as well as a golf course too! Salthouse and Cley-next-the-Sea are great bird watching locations, you will be spoilt for choice with so many places to discover.
This is the best holiday home we have stayed in by far. I would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxed family holiday in North Norfolk.
We have had a really lovely holiday in your very well equipped house. You have thought of everything for a family stay. Our granddaughter loved the toys , both inside and out and we enjoyed the cup cakes and the welcome tray on arrival. Thank you so much. During our stay we visited the fantastic beach at Wells next the Sea and enjoyed a trip to Amazonia Zoo near Cromer - just right for a 2 year old. We ate at the Kings Arms in Holt and The Pigs in Edgefield. We hope to be back soon,
We had a wonderful stay, the cottage was very well equipped including some toys for children and the welcome pack including milk and tea etc was great!
We were very pleased that the owners took time and care to decorate the property for Christmas. The crackers, mince pies and mulled wine were greatly appreciated.
Good location and great accommodation for our family of 6 adults and 1 baby to get together. Loved the beach at Holkham and visiting the Lookout - new bird hide/cafe. Excellent Sunday lunch at the Dun Cow, Cley. The Sheringham to Holt steam train was great for a very wet day. Enjoyed our holiday here - thank you!
What a wonderful holiday home. Had a superb time exploring the local area and really enjoyed our time here. And thank you so much for our welcome pack.
Good location and excellent standard of equipment. Best equipped holiday home ever had in 20 years of visiting Norfolk. Thank you. Love the fairy garden
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Briston staying at The Poppies. We've been bowled over with the attention to detail in every aspect of this holiday home. We've been so comfortable and happy to be here. Our Granddaughter loved the toys, inside and out, and the garden she didn't want to leave because it was so good. Thank you for all the thought and effort into making this such a welcoming, happy place to stay. We thank you for the scones and biscuits - these are real melting moments!
Quality accommodation in a lovely setting. Very impressed with the cakes & biscuits which was a lovely welcoming surprise. Excellent kitchen equipment - the best we have had in a holiday cottage! Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you
Lovely week at The Poppies. Beautiful cottage, very well equipped, lovely welcoming cakes. Thank you very much from all of us.
Enjoyed a lovely week at The Poppies. Fantastic holiday cottage with lovely welcoming cake & biscuits. Many thanks. Great weather, spent time at Holkham Hall and on the beach at Sheringham. Thanks for a great week in Norfolk.
We had a lovely long weekend in The Poppies - baby Iolo's first holiday! We loved the house - you provided everything we needed and the setting was wonderful. Iolo slept very well in the full sized cot (thank you!) and really enjoyed looking at the animals in the neighbouring farm. We will definitely visit again. Thank you for your warm hospitality, especially the cream tea!
Enjoyed a lovely week in The Poppies. A beautiful, well equipped holiday home. Excellent base to explore North Norfolk. Thanks for the lovely cream tea.
