Blakeney with its harbour, marshes and stunning scenery is a hotspot for a great coastal holiday. Within easy walking distance of the cottage there are several places to eat, a local delicatessen, a general store and the North Norfolk Coastal path can be easily picked up, which is great for birdwatching and walking. The walk to Morston on the coastal path is just over a mile and with a lunch at The Anchor when you get there, it is a lovely way to spend the day, as is a trip to see the local seal colony at Blakeney Point. The village also has some interesting art galleries, gift shops and The Blakeney Harbour Rooms has a growing reputation for showcasing some good tribute bands. This stunning diverse coast is recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are fantastic sandy beaches at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham with beautiful Holkham Hall and deer park also in the village, both a short drive away. In the summer visit Wiveton Hall - now a well known landmark following the BBC's Normal for Norfolk programme. Stop in the cafe to admire the beautiful marsh views with a cup of tea and pick your own raspberries and strawberries from the fruit farm - it's all normal for Norfolk!
