There are a number of footpaths and cycle routes in the area and a newly refurbished children’s park within the village. The market town of Dereham is three miles away and offers a good range of shops, restaurants and pubs as well as having a cinema and a sports centre. Wymondham, another bustling market town, is nearby where shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars and an Abbey can be found. The North Norfolk coast and the waterways of the Norfolk Broads are a 40 minute drive away and well worth a visit. Wells-next-the-Sea offers beautiful sandy beaches, brightly coloured beach huts, a Quay and delicious fish & chips. Holkham beach can be reached along the shoreline from Wells-next-the-Sea and is the chosen beach of the ‘Household Cavalry’ who can be seen galloping along whilst taking a well-earned break in the summer. Holkham Hall is the current home of the Earl of Leicester, which hosts numerous events throughout the year. Spend a day visiting the spectacular historical sights of Norwich or enjoy some retail therapy and many fine restaurants and pubs. Norwich also has a thriving arts culture, with theatres, museums, galleries and festivals. There is also an impressive Norman castle. Holt with its Georgian charm and character, boasts art and antique galleries, fashion boutiques, food shops offering the best of local produce, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

Reviews

A lovely property decorated to make you feel at home. It is small and it is ideal for a couple or small family with older kids. The property was in the countryside so very quiet and it was just under an hour to many of the famous beaches. We really enjoyed our time in Norfolk and are definitely coming back!
