Hawthorn cottage is one of the nicest places we have stayed in over the last few years, as previous reviewers have stated the pictures do not do it justice. It is very comfortable and spacious and the private garden is lovely, it would be nice to come again in the summer with better weather and relax outside too. We managed to have our week there before the second lockdown and felt very safe with all precautions taken and the owners were a really nice helpful couple and left us a few essentials and some lovely apples and pears from their garden. If you like the peace and quiet, this is a very relaxing place although you are not too far from Norwich or the coast if you want to get out and about'

Mr Graham B,

This is a lovely property, very quiet and peaceful and yet only a short distance to a main route. The owners cannot be more helpful and the cottage is wonderfully equipped and maintained. This was my second time here and I am sure I'll be back.

Dr Andrew A,

Hawthorn Cottage definitely had the WOW factor and I feel that the photo taken at the front of the property doesn't do it justice. The property was in a lovely quiet and fairly rural location yet withing easy access to many pretty little villages and within a short distance to the main roads for accessibility to the North and West Coasts and Norwich, both about 40 mins (Fakenham 20 mins). There are plenty of opportunities to discover N.T. properties, various gardens and the beautiful Titchwell RSPB nature reserve and loads more. Hawthorn Cottage is surprisingly large, each room being very spacious but, more specifically, it has been renovated to a very high standard and very tastefully decorated throughout. A lot of thought has been put into providing the property with all the appliances and equipment one would need. It has it's own good sized private garden which has again been landscaped (by the owners!) to a very high standard, it is absolutely beautiful and a gardener's delight! How relaxing it felt to be sitting in the late August sunshine (a very hot week) just soaking up the ambience. The owners were very nice people and particularly helpful when we asked about bike storage. We would love to return to Hawthorn Cottage at some stage and would definitely recommend it to couples who are interested in exploring the glorious Norfolk countryside and coastline.

Mr Laurence D,
