Shouldham lies in a pretty valley setting, not far from the River Nar and has a newly opened community bought pub, local farm shop, art gallery, pizza restaurant and a pretty church with origins from the 14th Century. The nearby Shouldham Warren has plenty of walks and easy cycling can be found in this rural setting. Downham Market holds market days on Fridays and Saturdays and also boasts an award winning and novel micro pub in its station originally set up by Andrew and Bridget the owners of Sunflower Cottage! Further afield are the delights of the historic town of Kings Lynn, the seaside resorts of Hunstanton and Heacham and the Sandringham Royal Estate. Surrounded by pretty villages there is much to do in the area and if colleges and culture are what you seek, Cambridge is only a short drive or train journey away.
