Sleeping seven guests across four bedrooms in the peaceful Norfolk countryside, this relaxing retreat is a great choice for a family holiday or group getaway. Its garden provides plenty of opportunities to admire the local wildlife, with the occasional deer, pheasant and barn owl all likely to be spotted amongst the surrounding plantations of Christmas trees. The majestic tower of Salle Church can be seen rising up within the surrounding countryside, with the traditional village green nearby providing a picturesque addition to any stroll.

The owner, who is a local artist, has lovingly styled this property with a blend of antique pieces and some of her own artwork. Choose between two lounges on the ground floor to spread out or socialise. The first lounge features comfortable seating surrounding a wood burner and Smart TV, as well as a dining table and French doors to the patio, while the other lounge has plush seating beside an open fire. In the airy kitchen/breakfast room, you will find everything you could need to self-cater during your stay, as well as a four-person dining table. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms to choose from: a king-size; a double with en-suite shower room; a twin; and a single bedroom. There is also a family bathroom. Outside, the enclosed garden has a lawn and patio offering ample space for outdoor dining – get the BBQ sizzling for glorious summer feasts.

Salle is a small hamlet just 10 miles from Norwich, and is well known for its Christmas tree plantations, grown by Salle Farm Estate. The larger village of Reepham, only 4 miles away, is home to several good pubs and cafes which offer exemplary cuisine, as well as a market, butcher and library. The Marriott’s Way is located nearby; a 26-mile path, cycle track and bridleway which follows the trail of two former railway lines between Aylsham and Norwich.

We had a lovely week in Keepers Cottage, well furnished throughout, very comfortable. The cottage is well located about 30 mins drive to Cromer and a little further to Great Yarmouth. We visited the local pub in Reepham and accessed the Broads to paddle board. The secure fence around the property meant that the dog could roam outside without constaRead morently being on a lead and the children enjoyed exploring the garden. The beds are all very comfortable and cosy and the kitchen is spacious and well equipped. We Pauls definitely recommend this cottage as a superb location. Hide

Had a great family holiday together in this lovely house. Very well equipped and the wildlife has been amazing. Despite the mixed weather we have had some great days out- Dinosaur World, Bure Valley Railway, Pensthorpe & Pleasure Wood Hills. Thanks for the yummy banana bread, wine etc!
