Reviews

Incredibly comfortable and relaxing stay at Old Oaks Cottage. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating especially when it came to recommendations of places to eat and things to do. The Cottage is beautifully designed and very cosy. It's a great stay in the autumn winter months. Thank you

Ina Y,

What a wonderful place for a relaxing week away ! Thanks for all the recommendations for shopping and dinner, we explored as much as we could in a week ! The Cottage is really homely and we loved getting cosy by the log burner with a glass or two of wine. We had a few visits from crumble and what a cheeky chappy he is. Thanks again for a fabulous stay !

Nicola L,

Thoroughly enjoyed a week at Old Oaks Cottage ! Norfolk is beautiful at this time of year. We had several lovely walks along the Marriotts Way, we enjoyed getting lost !

Helen B,

Thank you so much for providing us with the most perfect retreat to celebrate a very special birthday. Have to say of all the cottages we have stayed in over the years Old Oaks Cottage is absolutely at the top of the Pile. Exquisite, location, decor, facilities. The weather wasn't kind but it simply didn't matter ! Your recommendations for dining were 100 % perfect in fact the cottage is a heavenly home from home. Leaving is going to be exceptionally difficult. Until next time

Susie W,

The hosts provide visitors to Old Oaks cottage with a beautifully appointed home set in sumptuous and peaceful surroundings with lovely views of the grounds and adjacent countryside. It is, indeed, difficult to turn yourself away from such a setting - without doubt one of the prettiest rural holidays you could ever wish for and fully deserves a 5-star rating. The pool and hot tub are an experience in themselves and, due to the time of year we were able to use them almost at our leisure. We were also delighted to have the occasional visit from crumble. A big thank you to the owners for a wonderful break.

John C,

Absolutely beautiful property, stylish and comfortable furnishings, top class kitchen equipment and fabulous setting. Very quiet and close to the Marriott Way for walking and cycling. Owners live next door but very respectful of privacy . Can’t fault anything

Miss Julie A,

A beautiful house full of comfortable and stylish touches. Love the peace and beauty of the countryside and quiet lanes for cycling. Cycled to Blackley one day, Blickling Hall another and enjoyed exploring the Marriott's Way. Great opportunities for bird life at Titchwell and Cley Marshes. Many thank

Julie A,

Loved it! Beautiful property. Will definitely return.

Mr John H,

Beautiful cottage in wonderful surroundings. Perfection. We've had the best time ever. We love Norfolk and this is the best holiday we've had here. The only negative is a week is not enough. We've had a glorious weather so swimming every morning then sightseeing in the afternoon. The Kings Arm Pub in Reepham do a lovely Sunday lunch. Sandringham is worth a visit to. Mundesley is a lovely sandy beach with lifeguard and was very good beach cafe. Norwich for shopping and a delicious lunch in The Ivy. Cromer and Sheringham for beachside resorts and not to far away. Thank you so much especially for the highlight of our holiday-crumble-he is a delight and cuddles from him were the best!

John H,

We've had such a wonderful time in this perfect Cottage with stunning surroundings, pool and hot tub. Thank you for the very enjoyable welcome pack. Beatrice loved having crumble visit. We look forward to returning one day.

Lucy M,

Another delightful week at Old Oaks Cottage. Despite the slightly hit-and-miss weather we still found plenty to do as we explored Norfolk. The Cottage is still a cosy place to return to each afternoon / evening. Thanks again for the Welcome treats. We will continue to recommend you to friends and family.

Kerry F,

We've had the most wonderful week in the most glorious surroundings. After a long journey it was fantastic to arrive to a spotlessly clean cottage with a much welcome welcome pack. The fresh flowers were also as super added touch. We've had an action-packed week but managed to swim in the gorgeous pool every day. What did we do - Friday p.m meal at Kings Arms in Reepham Saturday Back to the Garden Farm Cafe and shop, yummy breakfast and stocked up on supplies. Sunday, train from Aylsham to Wroxham and combined Broads cruise, fab ! Monday stayed local and enjoyed pool, Tuesday Beans seal trip Blakeney. Pre-book important. Walk Cley-next-the-Sea, lunch at Dun Cow Inn Salthouse, Wednesday Blickling Hall and walk around Lake National Trust, dinner at the pigs in Edgefield. Thursday Cromer Pier Walk and crab platter in the Crab Pot. Now we are off glamping in Thornham. Thank you to everybody who contributed to a wonderful week but most of all to crumble he was a constant friend throughout the week. We will be back without a doubt.

Rebecca C,

Perfect location to relax.
