It offers excellent recreational facilities for couples and families wishing to have a holiday retreat in beautiful countryside in Northwest Norfolk. Everyone will enjoy the heated indoor swimming pool and relaxing sauna, of which you have exclusive use for six half days, as well as a game of table tennis, table football or darts in the games room which is shared with Ketlam View. You will enjoy a large and private garden with a double swing and children's slide - perfect for children - as well as picturesque river and woodland walks nearby. The Sandringham Estate, much-loved country retreat of Her Majesty The Queen, is just 10 miles away and a further 5 miles takes you to sweeping sandy beaches and coastal paths. The historic market town of Swaffham and the medieval town of Kings Lynn with its attractive waterfront are each 7 miles away and offer a wide array of shops and restaurants. Pentney lies just 15 miles from the North Norfolk Coast which is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Your choice of excellent sandy beaches is huge, the Coastal Path is great for walking and if you are feeling more energetic you could pick up the Peddars Way Walk. There are many nature reserves in the area, these along with the RSPB sites at Titchwell and Holme ensure that bird lovers will have a wonderful time. The sandy beaches of Snettisham, Heacham and Hunstanton are the closest, but a short drive across country makes Thornham and Brancaster accessible. Do take a visit to Sandringham, the Queen's home whilst in Norfolk. The house and grounds are well worth a visit and the Park is excellent for walking and off road cycling - particularly safe for children. The local area offers wonderful woodland and river walks, excellent walking can also be found close at hand and the quiet lanes scheme in Norfolk offers good cycling in and around the village. Fly fishing and coarse fishing are available at the nearby Narborough trout and coarse lakes. Many places of historical interest lie in the surrounding area, including Castle Rising, Castle Acre Priory ruins, Houghton and Oxburgh Halls, Walsingham Abbey and Shrine ruins. Don't overlook Kings Lynn, the old town and harbour area are well worth a visit and of course the fuller facilities of a large town, restaurants, theatre and cafes are available.
Another fantastic holiday here at 'The Coach House'! Our Tenth time now! So relaxing, such a lovely 'home from home'. Thankyou again!
