Saxlingham Thorpe is a peaceful and picturesque village situated a short distance south of Norwich in the picturesque Tas Valley. Close by is the Tas Valley vineyard at Forncett St Peter and the Smockmill Common Nature Reserve. Located within easy driving distance of the Broads, the coast of either Norfolk or Suffolk, as well as all of the attractions in Norwich itself, Saxlingham Thorpe offers an ideal base from which to explore an often overlooked, yet delightful area of East Anglia.
We were generally very pleased with the property, and would certainly consider using it again in the future if we planned a holiday in the same area. Very clean, and nice, if not spectacular, surroundings, and central to the area we were visiting
Very peaceful location surrounded by countryside and wildlife.
Very well placed in a beautiful location. This is a very comfortable holiday home; clean with ample hot hot water and well equipped. The host is very welcoming.
We had a wonderful time at your lodge. Thank you for the warm welcome.
A lovely stay over. Very comfortable with very welcoming hostess in Mrs Casale.
We can't thank you both enough for your wonderful warm and welcoming hospitality during our 5 week stay. We needed a home from home during our house renovations and couldn't have found a better place to stay.
Marlene, Sandra, Angela and myself wanted to send you both a huge thank you for the wonderful hospitality you both showed during our recent stay at Lodge Barn. We understand that it was a business deal but we feel like we made a life long friendship with you folks. Hope you trees grow and give you many years of delicious fruit. We hope to stay with you again in the future but until then adios, addio and bye until we see you again.
