Set in the beautiful Wensum Valley, Lenwade is situated ten miles northwest of Norwich. There are a good variety of village shops, including a general store, hairdressers and a riverside pub which serves meals throughout the day . Lenwade's most famous residents are dinosaurs but these are safely contained in the well-known Dinosaur Park. The area is ideal for walking or cycling, the Marriotts Way passes along the edge of the village so why not leave the car at home and cycle to Norwich or explore the unspoilt countryside, villages and small market towns such as Reepham and Aylsham. The area is also a favourite with birdwatchers, Pensthorpe, a former BBC Springwatch location is only fifteen minutes drive from the village and RSPB Titchwell and Snettisham are also within easy reach.
We absolutely loved our stay here. If it opens up again we will most definately be back with our dogs and bring the family too! Such a unique place, being able to get away with your dogs and not worry about them in the secured area is amazing.
The property was prefect for our 3 night stay. There was plenty of space for the 4 of us and the dog. It was lovely and warm with instant hot water. The setting overlooking the lake was lovely, we all enjoyed what felt like a remote spot and the easy walk to the pub!
A great getaway location. Quiet and restful. On-site staff very helpful.
Having stayed at self catering holiday homes many times I arrived fully armed with all the essentials I thought I would need. However we were delighted to find that everything had been provided, even down to milk in the fridge. It really was a home from home experience.
The property was very clean, warm and comfortable and had all the utilities you could think of. Lovely walking our dogs around the lake. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful place, lovely lady who owns it and we are already planning our next visit!
Lovely lodge in a pretty location, would happily recommend this property!
Lovely little lodge in pretty surroundings. Fishing available directly below the lodge. Location is excellent to explore Norfolk. North coast and the Broads easily reached in under an hour. Excellent and recommended.
