Set in the beautiful Wensum Valley, Lenwade is situated ten miles northwest of Norwich, there are a good variety of village shops, including a general store, hairdressers and a riverside pub which serves meals throughout the day . Lenwade's most famous residents are dinosaurs but these are safely contained in the well known Dinosaur Park. The area is ideal for walking or cycling, the Marriotts Way passes along the edge of the village, why not leave the car at home and cycle to Norwich or explore unspoilt countryside, villages and small market towns such as Reepham and Aylsham. The area is also a favourite with birdwatchers, Pensthorpe, a former  BBC Springwatch location, is only fifteen minutes drive from the village and RSPB Titchwell and Snettisham are also within easy reach.

Reviews

Was one of the nicest cottages have stayed in. Fantastic for the dogs and lake for fishing. Half mile walk to the pub .really well equipped everything you needed. Owners were lovely. Couldn't recommend it more .fresh flowers in case on table .complimentary tray with coffee tea biscuits sugar etc and the owners even put 2 pints of milk in fridge on arrival. Very thoughtful of them. and beautiful place to stay

Miss Karen S,

Locate in the centre of Norfolk, Porter's Lodge is ideally situated to explore both Norfolk and Suffolk. The lake and grounds surrounding the lodge are really tranquil. The grounds are totally enclosed by fencing - ideal for dogs. Porter's Lodge is excellently equipped and furnished. It was a true pleasure to stay there.

Mr Jonathan R,

This was the best self catering property we have ever stayed in. The greeting, location, information pack, furnishings and equipment were well above standard. The property was beautifully presented, clean and tidy. The location is fantastic, with the secure site allowing the dogs to run free, the lake and the site just made you relax, the whole point of the exercise. I couldn't fault a thing. We would certainly come back.
