The hamlet of Ilketshall St Margaret is located just south of the market town of Bungay with all its shopping, eating and recreational opportunities virtually on the doorstep. Set within delightful countryside that offers peace and tranquillity yet has great links to some of Suffolk's well known market and coastal towns. Southwold and the Heritage Coast are just a short drive with Bungay and Beccles, market towns with diverse shopping opportunities, just minutes away. The whole area is surrounded by National Cycle Routes that should keep keen cyclists busy for at least a week!
We recently stayed at Brambles for 1 week. The accommodation was excellent in every respect. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Daphne and John made us extremely welcome and their attention to detail especially during these Covid times was exemplary. We would have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this accommodation and we are hoping to return next year ! Well done Daphne and John !!
Couldn't have been better, absolutely loved it
Excellent accommodation in a lovely location with very helpful owners.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "The Brambles". Mr. and Mrs. Cook made us welcome and were always available should we have had any queries. The cottage was spotlessly clean when we arrived and there was even a "welcome basket" with tea, coffee and biscuits to revive us after the long journey. The hot tub was certainly a bonus (which was cleaned by Mr. Cook every day) and the fact that we could have a barbecue in the evening was also much appreciated. We will definitely return to "The Brambles" sometime in the future.
