Harpley is ideally situated for those who wish to explore the stunning Norfolk Coast, walk the Peddars Way or visit some of the properties close-by such as Holkham Hall and the majestic Sandringham House. The village itself is surrounded by green lanes and is located just 2 miles from Houghton Hall whom often host a variety of events and exhibitions throughout the year. The neighbouring village of Great Massingham is popular with visitors to the area as well as locals too; enjoy a spot of lunch at the Dabbling Duck; set in the picturesque village where the village is divided by two charming duck ponds. There is also a village shop, ideal for those last minute essentials. Also nearby, (approximately 3 miles), are the attractive villages of West & East Rudham, featuring The Dukes Head Tham’s restaurant and bar (speciality Chinese cuisine), The Crown Inn (Contemporary English) and Jane’s Coffee Corner for light meals & snacks for all the family. A little further afield is the popular year round destination of Castle Acre, with an ancient priory to encounter as well as the fascinating castle ruins built by the Norman’s in the 12th Century.
