Great Ryburgh is a small busy community with a general store cum post office and a local pub that serves meals. The River Wensum flows through the village and national cycle route thirteen passes close by making this an ideal location for cyclists and walkers. Pensthorpe Waterfowl Park, as featured in BBC's Springwatch, is only a few miles away and the beaches and marshes of the Norfolk coast are a short drive making this area ideal for birdwatchers and anyone who enjoys the great outdoors. For those in need of retail therapy the market town of Fakenham and its racecourse is approximately four miles to the south east and Holt with all its pretty shops, cafes and restaurants is an easy drive away.
Excellent property overall. Beds were comfy and the kitchen well equipped overall. A very nice property in an out of the way place that is a great base for exploring Norfolk.
Thank you Linda, we thoroughly enjoyed our three night break away here at your lovely cottage. There is everything here we needed and we like your choice of furniture, bedding, pictures, table mats. It is very comfortable and a 'home from home'. We are definitely planning to come back.
Another relaxing week in this clean and comfortable cottage. We had two lovely meals at The Blue Boar Inn highly recommended . Sculthorpe nature reserve and Penthorpe where two places we enjoyed for their tranquility and friendly staff. Please note the toilet seat is still tending to fall down. Thank you for an enjoyable week.
