The River Wensum flows through the village and national cycle route thirteen passes close by making this an ideal location for cyclists and walkers. Pensthorpe Waterfowl Park, as featured in BBC's Springwatch, is only a few miles away and the beaches and marshes of the Norfolk coast are a short drive making this area ideal for birdwatchers and anyone who enjoys the great outdoors.  For those in need of retail therapy the market town of Fakenham and its racecourse is approximately four miles to the south east and Holt with all its pretty shops, cafes and restaurants is an easy drive away.

It was a lovely place to stay. It was in easy reach for places in all directions in Norfolk. There was value for money.

Miss C M,

We've enjoyed a wonderful week at Tone's Cottage. It's our second visit to this part of Norfolk and again we completely lucked out with the weather - warm and even some sunshine whilst the rest of the country was thunderstorming. Beach at Mundesley is lovely. Pensthorpe is worth a visit for both parents (wildlife and tranquility) and children (trails and adventure playground). National Trust at Blickling is well worth a visit - great walks and extensive gardens. For the children Bewilderwood was excellent, very different to most adventure playgrounds and fun for grown ups too but the stand out winner was The Dinosaur Park. The children have spent two years, since our last visit, talking about it and pleasingly our return visit didn't disappoint - loads to do and who doesn't love dinosaurs!! Closer to home The Little Chippy is worth a go - fine fish and chips and various other things. Tone's Cottage itself is comfortable and well equipped, the children have had fun in the twin room and we all leave with fond memories. Thank you Linda

The Moss Family,
