Description
This lovely, well equipped cottage offers comfortable furnishings and a super, bright and airy country-style kitchen which has a stable door to the enclosed patio. This secure area is ideal for relaxing in on sunny days. The vintage map on the wall above the dining table is a real conversation piece and will help you to plan your next excursion whilst having breakfast! The sitting room has the benefit of an open fire which can heat the radiators and the water too. A flat screen TV, DVDs and wi-fi as well as books, games and local information will keep you entertained. There is an excellent pub a short stroll away across the village green; the shop and delicatessen are nearby. The Castle and Priory are added attractions in this delightful village and yet the coast and the cities of Cambridge and Norwich are within easy reach, as are Holt and Sandringham. Castle Acre is a pretty North-West Norfolk conservation village which is steeped in history and has a timeless quality to it. The Norman Castle earthworks and the beautiful ruins of the magnificent Cluniac Priory are the best preserved in the country. The village is sited on the ancient Peddars' Way, and the area offers ample opportunities for good walking and cycling. The beautiful North Norfolk coast and the cities of Norwich and Cambridge are within easy travelling distance.
