Briston is a large village located within North Norfolk just four miles inland from the Georgian town of Holt. There is a pub, two shops, a bakery and a butchers. It’s a great location from which to explore all North Norfolk has to offer. Holt has a lovely range of local shops, a small independent supermarket together with plenty of tea rooms or restaurants offering locally sourced produce. Catch a steam or diesel train along the Poppyline, a coastal track which visits Weybourne and Sheringham. Many of the most wonderful beaches are within a short drive of Roe Deer Barn, go to Wells-next the-Sea and walk along the Quay or visit the vast sandy beach. The popular seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer make for a great day out for all the family, each having a golf course too! Salthouse and Cley-next-the-Sea are great bird watching locations, you will be spoilt for choice with so many places to discover.

We can't thank you enough for the warmest hospitality you've shown us over the weekend. Your barn is lovely and we have had a wonderful time. This is somewhere we will definitely recommend to others. P.S The extra little touches you provided around the barn were very thoughtful and made this trip that more special.

The attention to detail was faultless. We had a completely wonderful time.

Geoffrey W,

The property was beautiful, location was extremely peaceful and having the pond, ducks and other wildlife to watch helped make our family stay an excellent experience. The owners were very helpful and friendly; the extra little touches of a victoria sponge, jar of jam and bits and pieces were very welcome. Would have no problem coming back at all and would recommend very highly.

Graham H,

Roe Deer Barn was perfect for our family, including 91 year old with mobility problems. We felt welcomed by the owners, lovely cake on arrival! The pond is a real feature, ducks, moorhen with chicks, swallows dipping and diving and the heron which made regular visits, giving something to watch safely as is behind glass panels on patio and so not accessible. Although this property is semidetached with its sister house Muntjac Barn, we were scarcely aware of other occupants and still felt private. The two would make a splendid pair to rent together for larger groups.

Lesley S,

The property exceeded our expectations. Everything was of top quality. Loved everything about it. We chose the wettest week we could possibly have in June.. but Roe Deer exceeded our expectations in all areas. The living area gave us room to spread out and the window that overlooked the pond was a great favourite with us all. We will miss the ducks and the moorhens. We will never know if the five chicks survived! We have had a great week with fun in the games room too. Thank you for your beautiful barn conversion - we hope to be back.

June P,

Jacquie Y,

What a wonderful house. Blessed with glorious weather. Some great days out at Cromer, Sheringham and Roarr. The wet day couldn't dampen our spirits at Wroxham and Salhouse Broad. Wonderfully equipped house that catered for all 3 generations.
