Self-catering holiday cottages in Bergh Apton

The village of Bergh Apton in the Norfolk countryside can trace its origins back to Roman times when it was initially two separate settlements. In the past, the village was well known for its cherry orchards, with the fruit being transported throughout England via the rail network; today, however, it is the biennial Sculpture Trail which attracts many visitors.

Bergh Apton is an ideal base from which to discover the delights of Norfolk. The village lies 8 miles south west of Norwich, a charming city with a plethora of restaurants and shops and the newly restored Theatre Royal which offers a broad range of entertainment, or you may wish to enjoy a more tranquil day exploring the Broads. Loddon, which is a market town on the River Chet and a gateway to the Norfolk Broads, is only 4.5 miles away. If you wish to venture further afield, you are well placed for visiting the sandy beaches of the East Coast including Great Yarmouth, the beautiful North Norfolk coast, and the lovely countryside of Suffolk.

Book your Bergh Apton holiday cottage and start planning an idyllic getaway to Norfolk.
