Breeze Barn is a converted barn perfectly located to enjoy all that Norfolk has to offer and welcome four legged friends too. It has recently been lovingly renovated with a refurbished kitchen and shower room as well as new soft furnishings in the sitting room. The barn's accomodation is mainly on one level providing spacious, comfortable living which can be enjoyed anytime of the year. In the colder months snuggle around the inglenook fireplace and enjoy the warmth of the wood burner and during warmer months sit and enjoy the pretty, quiet and semi-secluded, private rear garden. The property is close to Bawdeswell Heath which is a delightful place to walk and ideal for visiting dogs. The village has an excellent children’s playground 200m from the property. Given notice, the owners can arrange bike hire (Breeze barn is very close to off road cycle routes including Marriotts Way) and can offer secure storage for bicycles. Skippered boat trips (motor or sailing) on the Broads can also be arranged in advance of your arrival if your party includes people with disabilities. Bawdeswell is an historic village, mentioned by Chaucer in the 14th century. It is situated in the heart of the county, central to the many attractions of Norfolk. The fine city of Norwich is fourteen miles away. The market town of Fakenham and Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, home to Spring Watch, is just ten miles away. The beautiful North Norfolk coastline at Wells and Blakeney and the famous Broads are also within easy reach, as are a number of National Trust properties including Blickling Hall. The nature reserves at Sparham Pools and Foxley Wood are both less than four miles away and the area is ideal for walkers and cyclists with Marriott's Way nearby. Bawdeswell has a village shop and small pub. Reepham is two miles away and has further shopping facilities, a weekly market, cafes and pub/restaurants. The Dinosaur Park at Lenwade and the Gressenhall Rural Life Museum are both just five miles away and are a great family day out. Fishing is available in Reepham (3 miles) and at Lyng and Lenwade and other locations on the River Wensum. East Dereham, six miles away, has a very good range of facilities which include ten-pin bowling, a cinema and swimming pool. Fakenham has a famous open air market weekly with both local produce and antiques.
An absolute treat for my whole family (4 adults, 4 children, 1 infant). We were delighted at all the space and rooms for all. The children especially loved exploring everywhere. Our little granddaughter could not stop running about. Even outside in the gardens was a treat. Local amenities were also very family friendly - especially the park. A great base for visiting Norfolk's attractions and then chilling at the end of the day. Highly recommend for all families, and yes, we will come again.
