Upton is a small village on the River Bure within The Broads. It is a super location for nature lovers, being the home of Upton Broads and Marshes and located on the edge of a wildlife trust reserve where there are lovely waterside walks and fishing. Sailing yachts are available for hire from Upton Staithe (1/3 mile from 19 The Green) - also at Wroxham and Potter Heigham. The village is ten miles between historic Norwich and the bustling seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, which offers a lovely sandy beach as well as a traditional seaside atmosphere. There are many other opportunities for days out close by, offering something for all ages. The village pub has a good reputation; locally for it meals and further facilities are available in nearby Acle.
Excellent location with lovely local community owned pub 5 minutes walk, excellent food, helpful staff and interesting beers. Several local walks starting from the village and a great location to explore the broads on foot or by car. The little patio area is a sun trap and ideal to enjoy a morning coffee or chill with a glass of wine later in the day. The village is well kept and has lots of beautiful gardens and the community run shop next to the pub was well stocked and run by friendly staff. Having two bathrooms worked out extra handy when our friends came to stay. We had a lovely time, excellent weather and lots to do. Throughly recommended .
Great location , property clean and welcoming.Owner did call me to make sure all ok . I would recommend this property , added advantage of the village being very pretty and local community pub did fantastic food , which we used on several occasions.
Lovely cottage in a beautiful village, great walks from the cottage, perfect for dog walkers
This holiday cottage is excellent: light, airy, modern and well-appointed. Thoroughly recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay and it was perfect for our three whippets. Local walks were excellent and being in the midst of the Broads was wonderful. The village is quiet and peaceful but has a handy shop, a good pub and is close enough to a main road to make access easy.
Nice quiet location, ideal for anyone wanting to relax and well equipped.
