Stratton Strawless cottages

You will find Stratton Strawless to be a small village perfect for a relaxing break surrounded by pretty countryside and is in an ideal spot for peace and tranquillity. Much of the area can be explored by bicycle or by foot via the large network of quiet lanes and footpaths.

A huge benefit from being in this area is despite feeling you are deep into the countryside – you are also actually only seven miles away from the historic city of Norwich, with its castle, museums, cathedral, theatre, cinemas, and wide variety of shops, cafes & restaurants, not to mention 33 medieval churches to explore!

Less than five miles away from Stratton Strawless you can discover the ever-bustling market town of Aylsham, and just North of this is the National trust property Blickling Hall – the house built in the 17th century is a superb example of Jacobean architecture plus the surrounding gardens, parkland and woodland makes this a great day out. The Norfolk Broads and North Norfolk Coast are also both easily reachable by car.
