Oby is a small hamlet that sits under the big open skies that Norfolk is so famous for and its location close to the east coast beaches and within The Broads National Park, means that you have the best of both worlds on your doorstep.  The landscape is relatively flat and makes fantastic cycling country, try your hand at The Broads Explorer loop.  The coast hosts some beautiful sandy beaches; Winterton-on-Sea and Horsey are less than 20 minutes away.  At Horsey get up close and personal with the resident seal colony and if you are visiting in the winter, the seal pups will melt your heart.  The Broads National Park boasts 125 miles of inlets and waterways to explore, seek out the Canoe Man who will take you in a kayak to explore some of the quieter reaches of the river systems – a perfect escape from your everyday world, or enjoy a guided wildlife trip on a larger boat at nearby Horsey Mere. Car enthusiasts will enjoy a visit to Caister Castle Car Collection in the summer months, one of the largest privately owned collections in the country.  The children will enjoy taking to the raised walkways at Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens for a unique view of its Asian animal inhabitants or an outing to the resident Hippodrome Circus in Great Yarmouth.  For walkers, Weaver’s Way is easily accessible with plenty of circular routes within it.   Spoilt for choice, this is a great part of Norfolk, come and discover it for yourself, you won’t regret it.

Very peaceful location but within easy reach of nice beaches and walks. Log burner excellent and all wood provided.

Mr C,

Our second visit to this wonderful, warm, clean and cosy cottage and it was every bit as good as the first time. The hosts are lovely and have lots of useful information and genuinely want you to have a fantastic time. We love the peace here and being able to curl up on the sofa in the evenings with the log fire going on a chilly November evening is bliss. We will definitely be back again.

Mrs M,

Enjoyed our stay at Nursery Cottage, peaceful location, clean, comfortable & well equipped.

Mrs D,

The accommodation was wonderful, the location idyllic. Angela and Jonathan were superb hosts and made us feel very welcome. We would have no hesitation in going back and throughly recommend the cottage. .

Mr H,

The cottage was lovely and so too were the hosts; the milk in the fridge and home made sponge were most acceptable.Nursery Cottage was near the Broads and close to the sea, as well. It was serenely peaceful though linked with the farm and fresh produce could be purchased from next door.Parking was literally at the front door and there were no stairs or steps to worry about. The gardens were well tended and added to the setting of the cottage. We hope that the bathroom will have a pull cord instead of the "automatic" system by the time we return!! A car is essential. A holiday address to be recommended.

Mr G,
