An idyllic location at any time of the year, the area is a walker’s paradise, great for bird-watching and a quiet backwater for some wonderful bike rides. Located in the heart of The Broads National Park with its myriad of waterways, 125 miles in all, you can discover beautiful countryside and charming towns and villages all set under the huge skies Norfolk is so famous for. The east coast is also within easy reach and there are six Blue Flag Beaches along this stretch of coast from Sheringham in the north to Sea Palling in the south. Head a little further south to Horsey and spot the seal colony that makes its home here; come in the winter and you may see the pup seals too. Great Yarmouth has a history going back centuries, which you can discover on its quayside, start with the Norfolk Nelson Museum, stroll along to Elizabethan House to experience Tudor life and drop into the Time & Tide Museum to find out about the town’s rich maritime and fishing history. Just half an hour away is the elegant city of Norwich, which makes a lovely day out – seek out the Cathedral and Castle, the Sainsbury’s Centre for Visual Arts, some of the best shopping in the country and when that’s done there are some fabulous cafés, restaurants, pubs and bars to enjoy.

A very cosy and comfortable cottage, perfect for touring the Broads. Paul the landlord is very welcoming and is very quick to respond to any queries you might have. Highly recommended.
