Knapton is a small, quiet rural village just a couple of miles from the sandy beaches of Mundesley with Sidestrand and Cromer a little further up the coast. The small market town of North Walsham offers individual shopping opportunities and from here you could catch the local train to the county's historic capital, Norwich. With the Broads and Wroxham also close by, this is a great location for exploring and enjoying the many attractions of the county.
The cottage was clean, comfortable, well equipped & attractive. Lots of little touches that made it special. The enclosed front lawn was great to give our dog some fun & there were walks directly from the cottage so we could exsrcise him morning & evening. There were several stunning beaches an easy drive away (Happisburgh was our favourite) & we found plenty of places to visit. The only downside was that we couldn't get the central heating to work & although it was July, the mornings were quite chiĺly & an hour with heating would have been appreciated. It wasn't needed at any other time. However we really enjoyed our week & we would heartily recommend The Nook.
Good location for surrounding areas. Everything needed was supplied.
We absolutely loved the cottage, it was very nicely furnished and cozy inside with a lovely neutral colour scheme. It was very well equipped, everything had been thought of, so even if we had forgotten anything, it was already there - even two spare dog bowls - so thoughtful! We loved the fact that we could bring our dog and she loved the gardens which were both fully enclosed for her; we didn’t use the gardens ourselves as unfortunately it rained most of the time we were there but the rear garden looks as though it could be a nice sun trap to enjoy a glass of wine in. The cottage is well placed for the beach and a couple of nice pubs and Sheringham and Cromer are both close by. We were very impressed with everything and hope to return one day.
The Nook is a fantastic well thought out property filled with lovely little touches. Highly recommended location and cottage if you want to explore North Norfolk coast. The only downside was we only had it for 4 nights and not longer. Missing those cosy nights in front of the fire.
Lovely cosy and welcoming cottage located in a quiet village but a perfect base to explore the surrounding area. The cottage was furnished and tastefully decorated to a very high standard. Couldn't find fault with the cottage in any way.
