Situated on the banks of the River Bure, Horning is a lovely village in the heart of The Broads. Visitors might like to hire a day boat to explore the miles of waterways or perhaps sit, relax and watch the boats go by - a perfect way to unwind. The Norfolk Coast with its miles of sandy beaches is within easy reach and the village of Horning is in a good location for fishing, bird watching, sailing, golf and horse-riding. Children will love Bewilderwood on the outskirts of Wroxham, steam train rides from Wroxham to Aylsham and then there is the historic City of Norwich with its shopping and culture opportunities. The village has shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants.
Ideal waterside property for a family that wants to get onto the water (boats for hire nearby) or just relax and watch the fish, the wildlife and your own tame heron fishing just outside the windows. It’s “upside down” layout means beautiful views across the boats and out towards the marshes. Ideal location if you wish to go out in the evening with a pub and several restaurants in Horning, and another pub that serves good food just 100 yards away. Well placed for other attractions in Norfolk too, with everything from beaches, to ancient ruins to city shopping in Norwich within easy reach.
One of the best places I have rented, bi-folding doors to balcony make the outside come in.
