The Milking Parlour is a truly delightful, architect designed, holiday home that is all on one level and located in a quiet and tranquil backwater in The Broads National Park. Open plan, contemporary interiors offer all mod cons, there is underfloor heating throughout and the Parlour is flooded with light. The sliding windows in the living room bring the outside in and face on to the pretty, private and sunny courtyard garden. For walkers, Weaver’s Way is just moments away, the meadows near the river are listed as an SSSI site and there is a good farm shop nearby. If you want to get out onto the water there are canoes and dinghies to hire in the area but if you have your own there is a launch site only 3 miles away and you would just need to contact The Broads Authority to get a license for this, or if you enjoy line fishing, this can be found at Dilham Fishing Pond just a mile away. An idyllic location at any time of the year, the area is a walker’s paradise, great for bird-watching and a quiet backwater for some wonderful bike rides. Weaver’s Way is 100 yards from the property and 3 miles away you can hire boats for a day out at Wayford Bridge. Set sail for The Broads National Park with its myriad of waterways, 125 miles in all and discover beautiful countryside and charming towns and villages all set under the huge skies Norfolk is so famous for. The east coast is also within easy reach and there are six Blue Flag Beaches along this stretch of coast from Sheringham in the north to Sea Palling in the south. Head a little further south to Horsey and spot the seal colony that makes its home here; come in the winter and you may see the pup seals too. Great Yarmouth has a history going back centuries, which you can discover on its quayside, start with the Norfolk Nelson Museum, stroll along to Elizabethan House to experience Tudor life and drop into the Time & Tide Museum to find out about the town’s rich maritime and fishing history. Just half an hour away is the elegant city of Norwich, which makes a lovely day out – seek out the Cathedral and Castle, the Sainsbury’s Centre for Visual Arts, some of the best shopping in the country and when that’s done there are some fabulous cafés, restaurants, pubs and bars to enjoy.

Beautifully presented, peaceful location, beautiful garden, friendly owners on site. Fresh bread and cakes on arrival!
