Self-catering holiday cottages in Chedgrave

The attractive village of Chedgrave lies in the Chet Valley in South Norfolk and provides a good base for those wishing to visit both the Norfolk and Suffolk coast along with the Broads National Park. There's a friendly welcoming village pub, The White Horse, which has an extensive lunch and dinner menu, plus they also specialise in outside catering and can deliver directly to your Chedgrave holiday cottage.

The adjoining village of Loddon has a good selection of shops and pubs, with further facilities available in the fine city of Norwich, which is just ten miles away.

The River Chet runs through the village, with boat hire and fishing available nearby. Alternatively, you may enjoy the River Chet Walk: from the church you cross the play area, turning right towards the boatyards, and then proceed through the gate to take the footpath along the river. As you continue along this route you will pass Hardley Flood bird hide on your left; further along the footpath, take the track past Hardley Hall before again turning left to return to the church.

There are a number of nature reserves locally with many other attractions well worth a visit including Pettitts Animal Adventure Park. This family day out is especially great for younger children as there are junior rides galore, shows and entertainment, exotic and domestic animals, crazy golf, plus the opportunity to pet and feed some of the smaller animals. Other nearby towns and villages include Bergh Apton and Reedham with family-friendly cottages available to help you explore this wonderful part of the world.
