Description
Butterfield House is a 16th century property full of character that is set in a spectacuar location along the River Waveney, offering wonderful views of the river and marshes beyond. The house is very spacious, full of history and and is one of the oldest buildings within the town. The outside areas are equally impressive and are arguably, perhaps, what makes a stay here so enjoyable . There is a courtyard garden, shallow pond and patio area near the house that leads to a decked pathway that takes you to the bottom of the large garden where you will find a games room, moorings, a patio area, barbecue and a sheltered decked entertainment area overlooking the river that houses a juke box. Close to all amenities Butterfield House is an ideal place for families and friends to gather for a truly memorable holiday. Shop/Pub: 50 yards

Beccles is a popular holiday destination situated on the Norfolk Broads, on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. Beccles is an extremely attractive medieval market town situated by the River Waveney, which runs along the town boundary. The town offers excellent exploration to the Norfolk Broads and has some of the most beautiful stretches of river within the Norfolk Broads National Park. Amongst various boating activities, there are also riverside walks, outdoor swimming pool, golf course and many attractive surrounding villages. Beccles town has a complex of good town pubs and excellent restaurants, surrounded by quaint shops offering a variety of gifts and produce. Beccles is an ideal base to explore the sandy beaches, woodlands and parks of Norfolk and Suffolk. There is also a train station and bus depot.
