Sitting on the edge of the river Ant and Barton Broad, Barton Turf is a pretty village to the north east of Norwich. It is small and unspoilt and has its own staithe which gives direct access to Barton Broad. The Norfolk Broads are made up of vast stretches of water and meandering waterways which are home to an abundance of wildlife. There is no better way to see this area than from the water. There are plenty of boat yards nearby where you can hire day boats or if you prefer to stay on firm ground you can explore quiet paths and lanes on foot or bring your bicycle and roam further afield.
Nicely designed and well equipped cottage in what must be one of the quietest corners of this county.
It is perfect for us - comfortable and in a great location.
Lovely comfortable cottage, wonderful welcome from helpful owners.Brilliant
Great cottage and welcome. Great wildlife watching and chilling from the patio. The marsh walk is a must and Ross's wildlife boat trip at Horsey Pump, fantastic. Wonderful week to celebrate our 37th Anniversary.
We've had a lovely stay at the beautiful Wagtail Lodge. Thank you for having us and for the recommendations on the local pub!
Beautiful surroundings, modern cottage with everything you could possibly need. Friendly and thoughtful hosts
Wonderfully peaceful. Modern but cosy cottage. Perfect location. Thoughtful owners.
First break without children - we just wanted some rest and relaxation, and what a marvellous place to have it. Cottage is perfect, everythinghas been thought of and such a peaceful location.
It was great, just what we were hoping for.
Wagtail Lodge was a fantastic base for my holiday. The property is well kept and nicely decorated. The host was great and was able to offer helpful local tips. Overall I had a great stay at the property.
Just what we wanted: at the end of a lane, a converted old small farm building, overlooking a field. The amazing Barton Broad boardwalk within walking distance. Pub 5 mins by car.
Beautiful cottage in an even more beautiful location. The owners run the farm adjacent and were very friendly.
