Description

Are you looking for a restful holiday, in surroundings that are rich in wildlife, while at the same time being close to the popular areas of The Broad’s National Park and the beaches of Norfolk’s East coast, then Point Farm Barn is for you. This 18th century converted red brick barn, is spacious and comfortable. There is a nectar meadow to the rear of the barn, planted for bees and butterflies to name but a few, at its best in May and June. Other fields are planted with a wild flower seed mix, which attracts a huge variety of finches, buntings and yellow hammers later in the year. You may glimpse deer, barn and tawny owls or marsh harriers from the property and on a variety of walks, you could depending on the time of year see orchids and if you are especially lucky, a Swallowtail butterfly, a true escape from your everyday life. During the low season this lovely property can be enjoyed by smaller parties at a reduced rate. Shop/Pub: 1.5 miles

Barton Turf is a pretty village in a lovely rural setting just minutes from the Broads and Wroxham. It has its own staithe, which leads to Barton Broad and the River Ant. Its delightful village green has a pond and is a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. The area is great for exploringThe Broads and there are some popular attractions within easy driving distance, such as Bewilderwood, Fairhaven Water Gardens and Wroxham Barns. Surrounded by quiet lanes, you can enjoy relatively traffic free walking and cycling and of course the wide sandy beaches of the east coast are just a short distance away.

Reviews

This is a lovely property in a fantastic private location. You can walk straight from the door into meadows and Marsh land. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The property has everything you need and a lovely patio/barbecue area. All in all a great rental.

Miss B,

As wildlife enthusiasts, we found this property ideally located to explore the local area and beyond. We had a great time visiting RSPB and Norfolk Wildlife Trusts reserves, as well as walking in the local village area. This house was perfect for our 3 generations, plenty of room and very comfortable. The owner Mr Lamb, is doing an excellent job in encouraging wildlife.

Mr M,
