Ashby St Mary is a small, tranquil village just seven miles south-east of the vibrant city of Norwich. Ashby gets its name from the abundance of Ash trees that used to grow in the village, and St Mary from the handsome church that lies in the middle of the village. Norwich itself is a wonderful destination with a wealth of historic buildings, eateries and is perfect for those looking for some culture with the Theatre Royal, Maddermarket and the Playhouse. The Norfolk Broads are also just a short drive away, as are the popular Suffolk coastal resorts of Southwold and Aldeburgh.
